The Glut1 Deficiency Foundation will have a team for the first time in the 12th Annual National Walk for Epilepsy. We’d love to have you join us!
When: Saturday, April 14, 2018
Where: The National Mall in Washington, DC
Why: Educate and raise awareness of Glut1 Deficiency in the epilepsy community
The National Walk for Epilepsy is a unique and inspirational experience, and we are pleased to be taking part. We look forward to a fun and purposeful weekend during a beautiful time of year in our nation’s capital – cherry blossom season.

We plan to have special shirts made for our team, sharing information and facts and encouraging others to ask us about Glut1 Deficiency. Our team fundraising goal is $500, and individual members can choose local affiliates of the Epilepsy Foundation during registration, so at least a portion of your registration and any fundraising you might choose to do can go back to your local chapter.
Discounted registration fees through 10/31/17 are $30 for adults (age 13 and up) and $20 for youth (age 12 and under). Rates increase on November 1st to $35 for adults and $25 for youth.
We have arranged discounted hotel rooms during the walk at the Hilton Crystal City, which is also the venue for our 2019 conference on Glut1 Deficiency. The location is very convenient to the Metro and will allow us a chance to enjoy the city and some much-needed social time. Room rates are $139 per night with a discounted parking rate of $15 daily. Reservations need to be made by March 14th to secure the discount, and a limited number of rooms are in the block – the earlier you reserve the better.
Please contact Glenna with any questions and to let us know if you plan to join us! Thank you!
