Poster Session
In conjunction with our Scientific Sessions for the 2022 Conference, we are pleased to announce a poster session to highlight recent research and discoveries relevant to Glut1 Deficiency. We are excited about the opportunity to expand and share knowledge and promote scientific collaboration among those interested in and dedicated to helping patients and their families.
- We invite participation from researchers, students, clinicians, dietitians, therapists, other healthcare professionals and patients/family members.
- Original posters as well as those presented recently at other meetings are welcomed, just please note any previous presentations in the application.
- The poster session will take place in person on Monday evening, July 11th from 6:30-7:30 PM.
- Poster setup should take place before 2:00 PM on Monday, July 11th.
- All posters accepted will be available for viewing throughout the Scientific Sessions on Monday and Tuesday, July 11-12.
- Presenting authors will receive free conference registration.
Abstract Information:
- Poster abstracts may be submitted through June 1, 2022.
- Decisions and notifications will be made within 5 days of submission.

Additional Information:
- Please use the website form for submission.
- Limit the abstract title to 10 words or less.
- Limit the abstract body to 500 words or less, including acknowledgements.
- Provide 3-5 key words.
- Use standard abbreviations when possible. Nonstandard abbreviations/acronyms should be spelled out.
- List all contributing authors to the work. The presenting author should be listed first.
- The presenting author should be a registrant of the conference (free registration code shared on poster acceptance).
- Authors should disclose their sources of support (commercial, public or private grants).
- Work presented must conform to NIH policies on using animal and human subjects in neuroscience research, ethics policies, and where applicable to the Declaration of Helsinki.
- Work submitted for presentation shouldn't have been previously published in an archival scientific publication. However, recently presented posters are acceptable provided the other meetings and dates are included in the application.
- The scientific abstract should state the study's objective, briefly describe methods used, summarize the results obtained, and state the conclusions.
- The clinical case study abstract should include learning objectives and a brief summary of the patient presentation, workup, treatment, and main teaching points the case illustrates.
- The patient/family abstract could follow the clinical case study format above or contain unique presentation details to enhance understanding of the patient experience (examples: A Day in My Life, My Biggest Challenges, My Greatest Accomplishments, My Hope for the Future, Glut1 Deficiency's Impact on Our Family, etc.)
- Abstracts should be submitted in English.
- Authors will be notified of acceptance or rejection within 5 days of submission along with further instructions on submitting materials.
- Poster size should be 36"x48" (horizontal or vertical orientation)
- Applications may be submitted through June 18, 2022.
