De Vivo

A special research symposium and reception was held on Thursday, September 21st in honor of Dr. Darryl De Vivo, now Professor Emeritus at Columbia University Irving Medical Center. It was a wonderful opportunity for the many physicians, scientists, and family members touched by Dr. De Vivo and his work over the years to be able to come together to share research updates and pay tribute to him and his many years of service to the field of pediatric neurology and beyond.

Jason and Keri Meyers represented the Glut1 Deficiency Foundation at the event, and Dr. De Vivo’s fellow G1DF Medical Advisory Board Members Prof. Dr. Jörg Klepper and Dr. Umrao Monani gave talks.

It was also the debut of our special tribute video in honor of Dr. De Vivo’s retirement, capturing his role in the story of Glut1 Deficiency. Filming was a very special experience, and we appreciate all who helped make it happen. We are excited to share it with you and are extremely grateful for Dr. De Vivo and all he means to our community.
