Candlelight and Crafting for a Cure
GLUT1 mom Ashley Moore is planning some special activities this fall, combining her love of crafting with her dedication to supporting the GLUT1 Deficiency Foundation in honor of her daughter, Jaisa.
Ashley has organized Crafting for a Cure on November 1st at the Tyrone Alliance Church in Tyrone, Pennsylvania. Her crafting community has truly stepped up — the event is already fully booked with vendors indoors, and several food trucks and additional vendors will be setting up outside. All vendor setup fees will be donated directly to the GLUTt1 Deficiency Foundation (G1DF) to support our mission.
In addition to the event, Ashley is extending her generosity through her small business, That Little Candle Shop, and her “A Light of Hope” initiative. During this special fundraiser, 30% of all sales will be donated to rare disease organizations that hold a special place in the Moore family’s heart. We’re honored that the GLUT1 Deficiency Foundation has been chosen as the beneficiary for these important dates:
- November 1st – Crafting for a Cure Day
- November 28th – Black Friday
- December 1st – Cyber Monday
It’s simple — no codes or links are needed. Every purchase made through That Little Candle Shop’s online store during the fundraiser will automatically contribute to the cause, and 30% of her sales at the Crafting for a Cure festival will also be donated.

Thank you, Ashley, for shining your light and helping spread hope for the GLUT1 community! We are deeply grateful to Ashley and her incredible community of crafters and supporters for their creativity, generosity, and dedication to making a difference.
