Our August Caregivers Connect was so excited to welcome Chef Rachel Finn from Children’s Mercy Hospital in Kansas City to our Zoom Gathering this August! Rachel has been a longtime friend of the GLUT1 community and is always willing to share helpful tips and tricks for preparing meals on the ketogenic diet.

Rachel joined us specifically to share some back-to-school tips, focusing on packing school lunches and keeping meals both entertaining and warm if needed. She also shared several helpful recipes, including creative ways to sneak oils into condiments!

We are so grateful to have Chef Rachel as part of our community and appreciate her continued support. We can’t wait to have her join us again!

Recipes are linked below!

Aynsley and her mom, Laura, tried out the French Toast Recipe! Isn’t it so pretty with the cream and raspberries! Great job!

Aynsley making bread! She added chocolate to make it a yummy chocolate cake!

Some tips from Aynsley and mom, Laura: Keep eggs and butter at room temperature. Also let the coconut flour sit in the liquid for a few minutes before mixing.
